When someone did the unimaginable, Amelie, a calico with sparkling golden eyes, was giving birth to kittens. They placed Amelie on a roundabout in an East London neighbourhood, inside a fabric bed.

Fortunately, instead of fleeing, the protective mother stayed put. The cat and three kittens were then sent to the Celia Hammond Animal Trust, which was created by the famous former model in 1986.

What happened to Amelie astounded even the most seasoned cat rescuers. There is, however, a happy ending owing to their efforts and the nice individuals who saved Amelie.

It’s tough to conceive what a person would think if they abandoned a cat on the street, let alone when pregnant. And, to be honest, no reasonable person could conceive of that.

The Celia Hammond Animal Trust said on Facebook, “THIS IS ABOUT AS BAD AS IT GETS.”

They went on to say, “Someone abandoned this mother cat on a roundabout in Forest Gate when she was really giving birth.”

The mother cat might have gone at any time, rushing into traffic. She, on the other hand, remained bravely with her three newborn kittens. It seemed magical to the rescuers.

“She was resting in a fabric igloo bed with three newborn kittens, exposed at the front – how could someone do this?” It’s a marvel she wasn’t hit by a car, but she was definitely defending her children and wouldn’t allow them to fend for themselves.”

Amelie and her kittens were in the greatest possible care when they arrived. She’d be able to get the greatest veterinarian treatment here. The veterinarian was first concerned that Amelie could still be carrying another kitten inside her. They wouldn’t know for sure until they had an X-ray.

Amelie and the kittens stayed inside their igloo because there were no new kittens on the way.

They added, “We made her comfortable in a cattery enclosure with her kids inside her cloth bed since she appeared to be extremely connected to it.”

It was now beginning to sink in what had just happened.

“We are appalled by some people’s harshness,” they added.

Fortunately, those who rescued Amelie’s goodness won out in the end, but we hope they identify whomever did this heinous atrocity.

On social media, people respond.
As you may expect, everyone who watched the tale was horrified by what had been done. They were, nevertheless, grateful to the generous folks who came to their rescue.

“I’m very grateful you were able to save her and her babies.” One user remarked, “What a wonderful mother she was, safeguarding them.”

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you for saving and loving this lovely creature and her family. Another added, “Shame on the subhumans who deceived them.”

Amelie has found a permanent home with one of her kittens, according to the comments.

“I am overjoyed to report that this lovely mother, Amelie, and one of her kittens, Ollie, are now quite happy and established with us,” Jessica added.

The cats would now receive all of the care and attention they require and would never again be subjected to such abuse.

“We are a five-person family who adores them!” Her other two kittens were also securely rehomed a few weeks ago, according to what I’ve heard. “This is definitely a happy ending story,” Jessica wrote.

As you can see, this mama and her kitten are thriving in the company of a caring family.
