When A Woman Adopts A Cat She Discovers It Is Completely Covered With Hearts

Katie Duda was heartbroken at the loss of her cat Lucky when she came across a post at the Wrenn Rescues shelter with some cats in need of a home. Katie and her brother fell in love with a cat named River.

River was a bit shy at home when they moved in, and she was usually hiding, so Katie attempted to make her house comfy with all the room she needed. River began to feel more at ease with his new family as time went on, and his mother began to see more heart-shaped markings on his fur.

Katie explained to The Dodo:

“When I picked them up from the foster home, I thought I saw a giant heart in their breast, but I wasn’t sure.” I didn’t even bother to look at them or play with them. Wrenn Rescues is a company I trust.

River is a gentle guy with a caring nature that emerged after some time with his new home, when Katie saw that his fur was covered in hearts.

The lady explains:

“I confirmed [one] on his chest, saw that his nose was more heart-shaped than other cats’, then looked beneath his paws, chin, and elsewhere. So far, we’ve discovered seven entire hearts and two places that appear to be joyful at times.

River is a lovely young guy who, while he likes his time with his humans, is constantly conscious of his younger brother Remi, whom he protects and looks after.

Katie recalls:

“Remi wanted to sit on a huge pot in our dining room yesterday.” Remi was disgusted because he had put aluminum foil in the pot to keep the kittens from playing in the dirt. River generously removed Remi’s foil so he could lie down on the floor, which I saw.

River is a kind and quiet kitten, and the hearts in his fur are a strong indicator to his new mother that he made the proper decision when adopting him.

Katie is confident:

“My initial reaction was that River’s hearts were Lucky’s way of letting us know how much he cared for us.” River’s hearts may not contain a specific message for my family, but the love they convey is extremely real.

River and Remi are welcomed as new members of the family, and their mother informs them that River has a noble and kind nature and is constantly concerned about her family’s well-being.

Katie continued, ”

“He is a calm, compassionate, and loving individual. With River and Remi by their sides, my children have been able to weep and mend in a gentle manner. I expected the kittens to bring us joy, but instead they have provided us calm. River is repairing damaged hearts, wrapped with hearts.
